ABOUT THE FOUNDER...

A West Virginia girl at heart, Christina now lives in North Carolina. Although she misses the beautiful mountains and family back home, she believes God has brought to this place in life for His purpose.  She has three amazing adult children and a wonderful daughter-in-law. God has blessed her with an amazing companion and friend who loves God like no other and can pray heaven down. She knew he was the man for her the first time he prayed for her.

Christina is the first to tell you, "My life is not perfect, and I have more problems and flaws than you could imagine." She will tell you that the last few years have been one of the most trying times in her life... but, as she says, "God is able."

Christina is a graduate of Kentucky Mountain Bible College where she received a degree in religion. She is also a graduate of the SHE Speaks Speaker's Conference sponsored by Proverbs 31 Ministries. Christina completed her marketing degree as an adult student where God showed her much favor, including being one of 50 students in the world to do a symposium with Louis Vuitton. She currently works as the Sales and Marketing Manager for a senior living community that she believes is her current mission field. She realizes that evangelism and discipleship is its own form of marketing as "it's all about showing people what they really need and helping them find it."

No stranger to trials and disappointments, Christina has been divorced twice and experienced the heartbreak of spousal abuse, abandonment, depression, and questioning where in the world she went wrong. She has always had a heart for God's will in her life and realizes these experiences are part of what has molded her into the woman she is today as well as given her the ability to minister to the broken hearted and those who are in or have experienced similar disappointments. The strength God gives her and the sense of humor He blessed her with keeps her pushing forward knowing each heartbreak. You will often hear her say, "They say trials and tribulation build character... and I am quite a character."

No matter what, Christina believes that God has called her to be real. She believes just as James 5:16 says, that we should "Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed." She hopes that SHINE will foster an environment for believers to be real enough to open up and join together so that we all may be healed of the broken heartedness that Satan wants to keep us trapped in.

She says, "My desire is to be REAL... no put-ons, no hypocrisy, just being me- with hopes that my honesty and open heart will prompt others to be REAL with God. That's all He wants... me (and you) the way we are."
